Who We Are

A Story of Engineering Commitment

CN tower during golden hour

Over the past three decades, Emenea has been entrusted with roles on some of Malaysia’s most technically demanding and economically significant infrastructure programmes. Our engineers have designed and supervised highways cutting through primary rainforest, viaducts spanning inland lakes, tunnels driven through mountain rock, port container yards handling national trade, and public buildings serving communities across the country. Each engagement, regardless of scale, has been undertaken with the same commitment to quality, integrity, and enduring value that guided our founding.

Today, Emenea operates from its headquarters at Phoenix Business Park in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, with a strategic branch presence in Sabah. The firm is led by a group of professional principals supported by a team of more than 40 qualified engineers, quantity surveyors, technologists, and sub-professional staff. Our practice continues to grow, guided by the same values that established it.

Emenea Engineering Services Sdn Bhd (EESSB) was founded in 1994 by a group of engineers who had come of age within Malaysia’s nation-building era. Its founders had served in the Public Works Department of the Malaysian Government (JKR) and later at Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad (PLUS), where they helped deliver the country’s flagship expressway. That formative exposure to both public sector engineering standards and large-scale private concession works shaped a founding philosophy that has guided the firm ever since — engineering that is technically rigorous, commercially disciplined, and committed to the long-term public interest.

From its earliest years, Emenea was set up on the twin principles of engineering innovation and uncompromising quality. What began as a specialist civil and structural consultancy soon expanded in scope as the practice earned the trust of successive clients. In the year 2000, the founders established a sister company, Emenea PMC Sdn Bhd, to deliver dedicated project management consultancy services. Together, the two entities gave the group a fully integrated capability spanning engineering design, technical audit, construction supervision, contract administration, and end-to-end project delivery management.
